As you know, we reopened at June 1!
With some adjustments – to be able to meet the Corona rules and still receive as many guests as possible: responsibly and comfortably, while retaining our ambience and the service you are used to from us.
Our upstairs private dining room has been redesigned and made cozy as an extension of the restaurant. With safe and intimate niches. Group bookings remain possible under modified conditions.
Of course, there is also the garden terrace. It looks great and is yet another oasis in the city. With the 1.5 meter rule in hand there is room for 20-25, so be on time to book your table if the weather is nice.
The new situation implies that there are restrictions for all restaurants and that work will have to be done in a different way. Of course, that also implies to us. We ask for your understanding and we would appreciate that you have a close look at these rules before booking and before visiting our restaurant.
We are closed on Monday. But on Saturday we are open for lunch, a long-cherished wish of many guests. The opening hours are slightly adjusted. The kitchen can go home an hour earlier (10 pm) and between 4 pm and 5.30 pm we close the doors to get everything ready for a spotless evening.
So for the time being we do not have fixed ‘shifts’. We will take a look at how everything is going and keep you informed of changes, especially via our Newsletter (in Dutch).

Started as the most successful breakfast and lunch restaurant in the city, Brasserie van Baerle is now a household name in Amsterdam: a culinary “institute” with the profile of a “modern classic”.
The compact lunch and dinner menu consist of both classic dishes from the – predominantly French – brasserie cuisine and innovative contemporary dishes (also veg & vegan), in which we distinguish the trends from the hypes. During the season there are always oysters, asparagus and lobster.
In addition to À la carte menu, there is a varying 3-course menu for both lunch and dinner. Awarded a BIB Gourmand every year by Michelin since 2010.
Brasserie van Baerle has also always distinguished itself with a high-quality but surveyable wine list of “Old World” wines, predominantly French. This wine list has received several awards for its quality, accessibility and wine / food advice. Grootspraak, the restaurant guide for wine lovers, has ranked Brasserie van Baerle among the best “wine restaurants” in Amsterdam for years.
Our PRIVATE DINING ROOM* is a stylish and attractive space, suitable for:
- Dinner or lunch (max. 45 pers.)
- Workshops / presentations / meetings (approx. 30 pers.)
- Receptions / standing drinks: max. 80 people
- Combinations, e.g. Meeting followed by lunch or dinner.
There is a bar, and if desired, different table arrangements can be realized (with a maximum of 30 people at one large table). Advanced audiovisual equipment is available. All catering is provided by Brasserie van Baerle. The rental price applies per half day and depends on the expenditure.
*Note: During the “Corona period” the Private dining room is also used as à la carte restaurant and therefore only available for groups to a limited extend.
